When I heard that you were going without

thought that I'd be in with a shout

since you've been away I've been working on my style,

when I heard that you were back in town

thought that I'd dust myself down

and find out if there's any way of you being mine.

 

But loving it don't come so naturally

So I'd like to throw my hat in the ring

hoping it'll be time for us to sing again

praying that the sun will shine

we can both go outside and say

playing in a band that was old news

I was wondering how good we could be

with you up front and me in tow

another guy playing bass that I know

we could fall in love just singing harmony.

tell me if I'm wasting my time.
